Biography:
Knowing decisions made locally directly affect our daily lives and keen to see good decisions made Kath became a councillor in 2017, Deputy Mayor in 2019, and Mayor of the Town of Bassendean in 2021. Her journey from small business operator to innovative designer/organiser for some of the largest events in the state made her resilient with high levels of financial and organisational proficiency.

These traits have served her well during her time on the council. Kath says that active community participation in crafting our future is crucial to progressing our communal potential whilst preserving our unique character and spirit.

Kath’s philosophy is … Listen, Look, Learn, Excel.
