A study of communication types that make people feel more bonded included the following seven:
- Meaningful talk
- Joking around
- Showing care
- Listening
- Valuing others and their opinions
- Offering sincere compliments
- Catching up
The results showed it didn’t matter which of these quality interactions someone had it was the very act of intentionally reaching out to a friend in one of these ways was what mattered most.
