Operations Coordinator
Sana is our Operations Coordinator with GFS Perth, supporting the great undertaking of The Friendship Central site. By creating a warm and welcoming community hub where people can enjoy a good coffee, stroll through the gardens, build confidence in growing food, and leave with a sense of connection, community, and perhaps a few of our delicious preserves.
With a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Animal Science & Health (Agriculture), Sana brings together scientific knowledge, agricultural experience, and a community-focused approach. Her background spans public health, nutrition, veterinary, and environmental fields, with experience across state government and not-for-profit organisations.
Sana cares deeply about creating systems and spaces that are inclusive and achievable, that improve ecological health while respectfully sharing space with the native flora and fauna that called it home long before us. When Sana’s not at Friendship Central, she can usually be found harvesting produce for her rabbits Pearl & Bandit, exploring bushland with her dog Neville, or painting in the sunshine with her cat Mochi.
