Permaculture Partnerships Program Launch

GFS Perth is excited to officially launch its Permaculture Partnerships Program, celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in partnership with Healthway.

Community members, volunteers, partners, and supporters are invited to join this special event as we celebrate growing friendships, growing food, and creating healthier communities together.

Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm (light lunch included)

The launch will include a celebration of community partnerships, a hands-on garden activity, an introduction to the program’s vision, and the opportunity to connect with volunteers and local community members.

We’re hosting an Open Garden drop-in where you can take a look around, ask questions, and find out what’s happening at the garden and how to get involved.

You are welcome to come by for a chat, and pick up a few herbs to take home.

Wednesday Women – Speaker Session

Join Christine, an Australian Corrections Medal recipient, as she shares insights from over 35 years working in correctional rehabilitation. Learn about the factors that contribute to women entering prison and how education, support, and reintegration can create opportunities for lasting change.

This month’s topic, Women’s Pathways to Prison, explores the complex factors that can lead women into the justice system, while highlighting the importance of rehabilitation, education, and creating opportunities for positive change.

Bring along a plate to share and enjoy a relaxed gathering filled with warm conversation, light activities, sweet treats, and of course — wonderful company. It’s the perfect chance to connect with old friends and welcome new faces in a joyful, welcoming space.

Swan View Community Garden

Join the monthly garden meet-ups for easy gardening, warm conversation, and simple learning. It’s a welcoming place for all ages and abilities to connect, share tips, and help care for our local patch.

Join us for a planning day to hear what we’ve been working on and to share your ideas and feedback for the garden’s next steps. Please bring a plant or some seeds to share and swap.

Get involved: new volunteers are always welcome — come along, learn as you go and be part of something that’s growing.
